Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Estova Studios ("Breath of Estova", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website at breathofestova.com, our game, and related services (together, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

1. Who We Are

Breath of Estova is a pixel-art MMORPG operated by Estova Studios, a company registered in the Netherlands. If you have any questions about this Policy or your data, contact us at Support@breathofestova.com.

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Estova Studios is the data controller for personal data processed through the Services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information. When you create an account, we collect information such as your username, email address, and password (stored in encrypted form).

Purchase information. When you buy Gems, a Founder Pack, or other digital items, we collect transaction details such as the item purchased, amount, date, and a record of the transaction. Card and payment details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processors — we do not store your full card numbers.

Wallet information. If you choose to provide a blockchain wallet address to receive a digital collectible, we collect and store that wallet address. Providing a wallet address is optional.

Gameplay and usage data. We collect data about how you interact with the game and website, such as session activity, in-game actions, device and browser type, IP address, and general analytics.

Communications. If you contact us for support or join our community channels, we may collect the information you provide.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
  • Process purchases and deliver the digital items you buy;
  • Credit in-game currency and items to your account;
  • Deliver optional on-chain collectibles to a wallet address you provide;
  • Communicate with you about your account, purchases, and support requests;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues;
  • Improve the game and website through analytics;
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Payments and Third-Party Processors

Purchases on the Services are processed by third-party payment providers (such as fiat on-ramp and checkout providers). When you make a purchase, your payment information is provided directly to these processors and is handled under their own privacy policies and security standards. We receive confirmation of your transaction and limited associated details, but we do not receive or store your full payment card information.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any payment provider you use during checkout.

5. Blockchain and On-Chain Data

Breath of Estova operates on the Monad blockchain. If you provide a wallet address to receive a digital collectible, please be aware that blockchain transactions are public and permanent by nature. Any data recorded on-chain (such as a wallet address receiving an item) may be publicly visible and cannot be altered or deleted by us. Do not provide a wallet address if you do not want that association to be publicly recorded on-chain.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers. With third parties who help us operate the Services (payment processors, hosting, analytics, customer support), who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
  • Legal requirements. Where required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
  • Protection of rights. Where necessary to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate data;
  • Request deletion of your data;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at Support@breathofestova.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. Note that some data (such as on-chain records) may not be deletable, as described in Section 5.

If you are in the EU/EEA and believe we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one in which you reside. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the Services where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
